Mophie Juice Pack Plus

Harmony helped me to get these Mophie Juice Pack Plus for $55 each..



Red one for me, yellow for Shortcake and Blue for Hepatitis.

It's so convenient to use. I love how it can be switched off when battery is full and still be able to act as a phone casing.

Lunch, Tea & Dinner

While waiting for my hair to dry, I'm posting up some photos taken just now..

It's my first attempt at red lips, so I was quite nervous. But then again, I thought why not right? Might as well try it and get Eggie's opinion.



Lip colour used is "Frenzy" from Revlon, Lipstain from their Just Bitten range..



She didn't quite like it. =/ She said it's not red enough as it had a pinkish tone to it.. Hmmm.. Anyways, I'm glad it can be captured well in photos. It doesn't look as nice in real life though.

Eggie said that the photo looks weird and she couldn't put her finger to it until later.. She thinks that my eyebrows were too thick. Ehem!! It is my current obsession. Hahaha.. I kept pointing to posters of models with thick eyebrows to Eggie just to prove my point. =P

And one more at the end of the day. I didn't bother to touch up the lip colour. Both of us look so tired..





We originally planned to have high tea but ended up having dim sum for lunch at 2pm, ate too much and hence had no space for tea nor dinner.

Fun day out and I bought a freaking expensive bar of soap from Lush so I'm really hoping that it'll work. That's all for today.

I hardly notice Dad growing old but old he did get. It is weird how he spontaneously agreed to take pictures with the family. He is normally very camera shy.

I did take one of the whole family but again, some of the photos taken cannot be rotated. So no go. =(

A photo of Hepatitis and I. Despite how irritating brothers can be, he can be quite okay at times.

And he has got entertainment value. LOLOLOL.

I realised that the trick to blog via email is to type the words before the photo, though they'll always appear below the photo in the real post. (Wow, I wrote a really long sentence!!)

Since I took a lot of photos during the CNY holidays, I guess they have to appear somewhere. So I'll probably email more one photo posts here in the future..

Anyhow, recently there isn't much to share in my life other than the endless eating, snacking & munching that always occurs during CNY. I refuse to give up despite having 3 ulcers due to all the heaty food. Ehem.. I'm just upholding tradition.

Happy Lunar New Year

It has been an exhausting day out visiting relatives. I am truly amazed at how many fake smiles I could manage to muster. Sometimes I wonder if CNY can last after 2 more generations. It seems rather pointless when sincerity is not practised nor seen.

Nonetheless, I wish everybody a warm and prosperous new year. May you get what you wish for in the year of the water dragon. =)

The Body Shop Skin Primer Matte It & Maybelline Pressed Powder

Here's a review plus some quite old photos taken on NYE. Again, I'll like to clarify that I am not a clubster. Ehem.. And I didn't mean to split up the photos into so many posts but the last one was about Baby M and she is soooooooo cute, she deserves to have an entire entry of her own. Lol. Not that an entry in my blog is worth anything, but still.. She's freaking adorable!!

So, as I was saying, I'm doing a review on makeup products. First off is Maybelline pressed powder. I admit, I bought it because of it's packaging.. The colours are so vibrant, what not to like, right?

The mirror is quite big and since I use brushes to apply my foundation, I removed the sponge. Sponges trap bacteria, so I think it's more hygienic to remove them after every use or at the end of a day.

So far, I've been satisfied with the powder. Nothing WOW about it, but it spreads reasonably well, has adequate coverage and this time, I picked the right shade so I'm happy with it. =D (P.s. my shade is 2H179, I think? It's written at the back..)

And next up, is a Matte Skin Primer from The Body Shop.

Many brands carry skin primers to help prep your skin before makeup. Most of the time, many moisturisers or sunscreen double up as a skin primer as well. I bought this because I get a discount on my birthday month.

Anyways, I must say, I'm impressed with it. The primer made me shine-free for the whole day. No need to blot or touch up even when clubbing.. I'd used it on NYE. Check the photos below out. All taken with flash, and no oily sheen on my face, at most got dewy effect and that's already a huge improvement for super oily skin like mine. Likka awesome only!!

Okay, end of the post. Maybe this year I can celebrate NYE in a non-drunken way. Or that MTC will decide to organise something. It has been a great 2011 for me so hopefully 2012 brings more joy, happiness and awesome makeup into my life. =D

P.s. I love the emerald nail colour. It seriously pops in flash photos!!

Belated Post

More photos of birthday celebration with the MTC at Lao Bei Jing. I tried to rotate the photos on Windows Photo Viewer but cannot. Then I tried using Paint, also cannot. SO I GAVE UP. View the photos as they are and crane your neck. Don't care already. Too much grief over photo rotation.. FUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!

Food was nice, not great but I guess it's the company that counts right? =) I realised that Harmony took many many MANY pictures of me unwrapping the gifts. Ehem.. As you can see, I also took quite a few weird/funny photos of Pearlyn, as usual.
