Funny Vids

Saw this on Facebook.

Enjoy!!

Rihanna's interview with Good Morning America..

The video resolution is terrible.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

I think she seems to be rather robotic in the interview. Perhaps it is just a gimmick to promote her new album. Or she had really detached herself from the situation so that she won't feel hurt again.

Look at what some people are saying on Youtube.

Haha. Funny. But if her interview is her sincere way of coming across to people in abusive relationships, then she's very brave. What do you think? Did she look genuine and sincere to you?

Everything's Okay Now!!

Today, something horrible happened because of miscommunication. I think both TT & I got fucked by technology and we ended up with needless grief. But I'm kinda glad that we finally managed to iron those problems out and we are okay now.

I feel like crying and smiling at the same time. I just might be crazy afterall.

When basic expectations are not met..

So I added slide flickr at the top of the page and changed the blog skin to another template. I was just wondering if I should remove the slide flickr cos it's sorta irritating but I can't help but want to put it up. Makes no sense to me, so I don't think you all would understand too.

I decided to clean up my room somewhat and I found this under my bed..

No, it's not anything icky. It's one of my previous Cotton On purchase which I bought some time back. I dunno why the plastic bag seemed blue in the picture.

I had grabbed the bag after paying and then proceeded to forget about it after leaving it under my bed. So tonight is the first time I open the bag. The main thing is, I was disappointed and kinda angry when I opened it.

Again, I did not put my worn clothes inside the bag. I recalled that I tried on that dress and liked it a lot so I just took it off and paid immediately. So what you saw inside the bag, was actually the product of a very lazy and unprofessional cashier.

She simply lumped up the dress which I put on the counter and put inside the bag. Didn't even bother to help me turn it over or fold it.

Would you expect the cashier to fold your clothes before putting it into the shopping bag? I don't think I'm being unreasonable to expect at least that.

Anyways, just in case you all doubt my integrity..

The dress with a price tag still intact.

I never bluff bluff hor.

And I don't wanna end at a sour note. I know I complain a lot. But really, you would be kinda angry if the sales/cashier did that to you right? Haha..

So on a totally irrelevant but funny thing that my sister brought to my attention.

Look at this poker card pack.

It's Kim Ng!! Zhong Qing!! Haha..

My sister knows a lot of random stuff. Like she told me before that Old Chang Kee has student price too. If you tell them that you are a student and show them your student card, you get $0.20 off per item purchased. Yes, it applies to the one in NUS too. Bet cha din know that, huh?

Old People's Ailments

Nowadays, I have a headache whenever my head is exposed to the wind. Don't laugh!! Seriously, this is a problem. I might have to try out TCM and see if it helps any.

Today while fiddling around with the functions in Ubertwitter, I realised that there is a nifty function in it that enables me to see people who twittered near me. I must of course first agree to show my location for a tweet, then I will be able to see "Everyone Near You" and see their tweets. Freaky right?

I found out that one of our DEPM junior is tweeting and I followed her on Twitter. How did I know? She tweet her notes on law and lecturers and stuff. Don't really need to be rocket scientist to figure out that she's our junior.

She should be more careful. Actually she should really change her settings on her Ubertwitter. It's like broadcasting to the world where she lives sia. Haha.

Oh, and now Hui Ting & Felicia both have Blackberry Tours!! But I still don't have BBM buddies cos I don't really have much to say to them. Harmony & Yvonne are contemplating getting a Blackberry and I hope they do. The more the merrier!! Haha.

As for the previous blog post, I had wanted to blog about how I wash my makeup brush but I ended up blogging about how to wash makeup brush. =p

Washing Makeup Brushes..

Okay, so I woke up earlier today and so decided to blog about how I clean those makeup brushes that I often use.

As a rule of thumb, I always wash my brushes before I use them. That's because once, I used a Missha brush and it caused huge break outs on my face. Later when I tried to wash it, I realised that the dye in the brush kept running, no matter how many times I wash it. -_-"

First up, the bronzer brush. Well, The Body Shop calls it a bronzer brush. I think it's very versatile. I've used it for loose powder, blusher and liquid foundation, on separate occasions of course. As you can see, I previously used it for loose powder so it has got powder on it.

Anyways, the first step is to put it under running water. No brainer, huh?

Next, I used RainBath as the cleanser for the brush. Sometimes, I use my shampoo or soap. All of them are perfectly safe to use. Some people even use conditioner on their brushes. I don't think that's good though.

Lather up and work it into the bristles/hair of the brush..

Then rinse it..

Make sure to wash the middle of the brush as well..

I've read that it's better not to let the moisture get to the core of the brush because it will spoil the brush. But I think brushes must be washed properly in order to protect the face. If you worry about the brush more than your face, then.. I dunno.. Your own problem lor..

I think Kabuki brushes are cute!! Like the brush above is, strictly speaking, a Kabuki brush. But its hair is less densely packed than this one..

I followed the proccedure above. Then this last step is very important. You have to squeeze out the water.

And look at the brush from the top.

I know that sounds like a no brainer, but the purpose is not to squeeze out the water but to check the colour of the water. Densely packed brushes are more difficult to clean and often, some soap is trapped in the middle no matter how much water you run through it.

And then, the last brush is the blusher brush.

It's one of the first brushes that I bought. I think it's okay, mai hiam dio buey pai, but I would have prefered a bigger brush. Haha.

Back to the brush..

After washing, you shake off the water right? I would, but how you grip the brush is important.

THIS IS A BIG NO NO!!

You should grip the brush like this then shake off the water. That's to prevent the brush from loosening.

Then, I just hang all the washed brushes like this to dry.

Yah, very unglam but it works. Never ever put your brushes to dry standing up. They are very much like flowers, I suppose. The water will get to it's core and spoil the brushes.

I wash my brushes every week if I use them regularly. Otherwise, I just wash them a few days before the day I have to use them. That's cos densely packed brushes take two days to dry.

If you are worried that your brush might fray from washing too many times, good brushes don't fray from washing, even if they are made from animal hair. You just have to keep their shape when they are wet, so when they dry, they will retain their shape.

I've read that some people spray alcohol on their brushes every time before using. Hygenic, but that's a bit extreme, don't you think? I simply have no energy to do that. Haha.

Hahaha~ Funny Bruce Lee hair style, taken in 2006. But my arms were skinny then. I somehow think that I won't mind trading my long hair for those skinny arms back.. Hahaha~

I've just finished washing my makeup brushes and my very troublesome hair. Shall blog about the brushes soon.

Good Nitez!!

Celebrating Yvonne & Ee Lin's birthday at Miss Clarity Cafe

Yesterday, The Marble Table Clique went to Miss Clarity Cafe for Ee Lin's and Yvonne's birthday celebration.

Some Pictures..

The Menu

This is what they called the Pre-starter.

It looks like it would taste sweet. But it has a sardine taste with a sprinkling of onion. Not a pleasant taste for something creamy..

They gave us water on colourful cups.

Soup of the day is carrot soup.

Main dishes.

This is mine. Yorksire Pork Steak.

It looks nice but.. It's over cooked. Yvonne thinks that it looks like shao rou.. I think that shao rou tasted better. Well, at least the potato under it was pretty nice.

And this is Harmony's. Quite nice, but seemed to be made from those fish patties bought from supermarkets.

Ee Woon's Soft Shell Crab linguine. Errr.. She told me that it's cooked with MSG. And wen de dao, chi bu chu wei dao. (Can smell, but no taste.)

A look at the decor around the cafe.

Yvonne and Ee Lin. The Birthday Girls.

I feel that the place was overly colourful. Seemed more for children than for adults. But if it is children friendly, then obviously they need a change in their menu. There are no kids meals inside. -_-

Plus MSG is not very suitable or healthy, isn't it? Food is over-priced, in my opinion because it didn't taste all that great.
